Rev. Gottfried Locher confirmed as Council President

The delegates confirmed Rev. Gottfried Locher as Council President with 43 votes. His opponent, Rev. Rita Famos, received 24 votes.

Encouraged by the Assembly of Delegates’ vote of confidence, Gottfried Locher will get the implementation of the new constitution under way. “In the past few years, our church has considerably strengthened its public image. We emphatically look to the Gospel of Jesus Christ to guide our path,” says Council President Locher. “The Reformed voice is heard and respected in the public sphere, in politics and beyond our national borders. I am happy to do my part to ensure that this encouraging development will continue.”
